Family and friends can honor and remember their loved ones who have passed away through donations to the Memorial Fund. These funds provide for ministries beyond the scope of the annual operating budget. Lasting gifts are purchased that will enhance the beauty of our church, maintain the historical value of the church or, further the mission, worship or educational program of the church. Making an honorary or memorial gift is an important way to put faith into action and contribute to the vision of the future of First Presbyterian Church.
The Memorial Committee administers the disbursement of honorary and memorial funds donated to First Presbyterian. We have the opportunity to let all the people who gave so much to the church in life, the ability to keep giving to the future of our church even in death. The Memorial Committee honors specific requests for the use of the funds made by the deceased, family or friend, in keeping with the overall ministry focus of the church. If no specific designation of funds is made, every effort is made by the Committee to use the funds in a manner that reflects the particular gifts and ministry of the deceased.
